I've just finished reading one of the most skilfully crafted books I've come across in a long time- The Angel's Game by Spanish author Carlos Ruiz Zafon. He weaves a complex and satisfying storyline that moves faster and grips you more intensely as you read on, becoming such a page turner that I found myself reading it late at night and early next morning to finish. Do be warned the subject matter is very dark in places and the body count is high, but this is a book of depth that can get you thinking about such questions as can your soul be bought and at what price? |
