Student Information Area
This is a space for Touchstones Therapies Diploma students. New information will be added periodically so please bookmark it.
It is advisable to gain insurance even whilst you are still training. You are responsible for making your own insurance arrangements. ACHO uses Holistic Insurance Services
, and those on the ACHO Practitioner Register get a preferential rate, but if you are already insured for other therapies you can ask whether your insurer can add Crystal Therapy to your policy.
Most of the books and other resources I recommend for the Certificate and Diploma course are available through the Touchstones Store on Amazon. I get a little commission without it costing you an extra penny when you order through my store.
Writing up your case studies
Here are some guidelines you need to follow in order to submit your case studies:
Client and Student Assessment Sheets
These sheets should be filled in whenever you do a healing that is potentially a case study for you, it doesn't matter if I receive extra sheets, it is all good evidence that you are getting on with your crystal healing. Fill in your own name as the student (I have received several blank ones!) and give your client a Client assessment sheet and a stamped addressed envelope to my PO Box address: PO Box 61, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 9AB. You need to submit your Student Assessment forms with your case studies.
Here are guidelines I put together to help you write a strong thesis:
Anatomy and Physiology
A & P is a course requirement and you need to have completed a course in A & P to at least level 2 before you can be awarded your TSCT Certificate. You may also fulfil this requirement if you have completed Human Biology to at least O level. I offer a home study course in A&P to level 2, which is sufficient for Crystal Therapy. This costs £65. Many FE Colleges offer courses to higher levels if you are planning to add more therapies.
Keeping Your Advertising Legal
It is important that you do not make any medical claims for the efficacy of Crystal therapy, however impressive your results may be. This leaflet from the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency is useful guidance on what you can and can't say these days- Appendix A in particular. Check you are compliant please.
Ask a question
If you get stuck you can always contact me. Lengthy support discussions are charged for as guidance or tutorial sessions and you can book a telephone or Skype appointment with me, but quick questions and touching base is all part and parcel of your course.
me or use the form below. I normally deal with all enquiries within a few days, but if you don't hear back within a week I may be away...or possibly the communication got lost in cyberspace, so do try again!
